How to get there
By car or motor coach
The city centre is easy to reach from the E40 Brussels-Ostend motorway. Take Exit 8 (Sint-Michiels). Follow the signs to the Bruges train station (you will pass two roundabouts). At the traffic lights, go under the railway tunnel. Then turn right at the next roundabout, and then go immediately to the left. You can now follow the "Site Oud Sint-Jan" signs. You reach Oud Sint-Jan via the Oostmeers and Zonnekemeers. You can also reach the site by motor coach, if the driver has a police permit. This permit can be obtained by reservation. On foot: ‘Oud Sint-Jan’ is a 5-minute walk from the station. When you come out of the station (Bruges side) walk straight across station square. Then follow the signs via the Oostmeers and Zonnekemeers.
